Product details
An EOT crane, or overhead travelling crane, is a crane that consists of a bridge (or girder structure) that moves on parallel runways mounted above a workspace. The load is lifted by a hoist that travels along the bridge girder(s). The key motions are: Long travel (LT): movement of the entire bridge along the runway. Cross travel (CT): movement of the hoist or trolley across the bridge (i.e., laterally). Hoisting: the vertical lifting or lowering of the load. These three axes enable a crane to access any point in its rectangular working area (within the reach of the runways and bridge span). When “electric overhead travelling” is used, it indicates that the crane (bridge, trolley, hoist) is electrically powered, rather than by hydraulic or manual systems.
