A Goliath Crane is a type of gantry crane that operates on rails laid on the ground. The crane bridge is supported by two or more legs that travel on these rails, allowing it to lift and move heavy loads across a large area. Unlike an EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) crane which moves on elevated runway beams inside buildings, the Goliath Crane operates on the ground level. It is ideal for outdoor operations such as shipyards, railway workshops, heavy fabrication units, and construction sites where overhead runway structures may not be practical.
